Pension funds, public and sovereign institutions and large asset managers answer to people who rely on us –  beneficiaries, boards, regulators. We cannot afford to be wrong in ways we can’t explain.

That is the standard we hold our research to. If a conclusion can’t be explained step by step and tested against the evidence, it isn’t finished. Institutions also think at scale, and so do we. The questions we study are the ones that matter when the amounts are large and the horizon is long.
