Schwarz Quant is an independent quantitative research firm founded by Samuel Lawrence, building towards alternative asset management.
The firm grew out of Samuel’s interest in economics, financial markets and quantitative analysis while he was studying at university. What began as a personal research project in 2015 has developed into a broader effort to understand how markets work, how economic conditions influence them, and how capital can be allocated more intelligently.
We work at the intersection of economics, mathematics, statistics and financial research. Our interests span equities, commodities, macroeconomics, alternative assets, portfolio construction, risk management and systematic investment strategies.
But research is not an end in itself. Its purpose is to support better investment decisions and, ultimately, to understand where capital can create value.
Our approach is built on discipline and risk awareness. That means questioning assumptions, testing ideas against data, and being willing to change our views when the evidence changes.
Our philosophy: Question the assumptions. Model the complexity. Test the evidence.
Our long-term ambition is to turn rigorous quantitative research into sound investment capabilities, subject to obtaining the required regulatory authorisation.
Research is where we begin. Capital allocation is where it matters. Returns are what ultimately count for investors.
